ANGELES CITY — Christmas came early at the Angeles City Hall as it released a total of ₱46,207,971 million on November 15, 2022 for the year-end bonuses and cash gifts of 1,230 employees here.
Of the mentioned amount, ₱38,837,971 million was allotted for the year-end bonus, equivalent to the 1 month basic salary of employees; and ₱7,370,000 for the cash gift of ₱5,000 each for the workers.
Comprising the number are 872 permanent; 343 casual; and 15 contractual employees.
“The city recognizes the relentless effort and hard work of the employees in the service for all Angeleños,” Lazatin said.
Apart from these released bonuses, there is also an additional P17,000 bonus for the 1,230 employees which will be released on December 2022, via scheduled date.
On the other hand, 3,100 Contract of Service (COS) employees who are qualified for the P3,000 year-end gratuity will receive theirs on December 7, 2022.
Flordeliza Santos, president of the Association of Government Employees for a New Dynamic Angeles City (AGENDA), said the administration of Mayor Lazatin continues to look out for the welfare of the employees.
“Christmas came early for all the government employees because of Mayor Pogi Lazatin. Maraming salamat po Mayor sa patuloy na pagmamahal sa aming mga empleyado. Hindi pa po namin hinihingi, ibinibigay na po ninyo,” Santos said.
Recently, Mayor Lazatin also ordered the increase of salary of 125 traffic enforcers, aides and 214 street sweepers from ₱387 to P600 per day.
This is to continue to recognize their continuous service in fulfilling their duties, rain or shine.
