Bataan cops seize P7.5-M shabu

CAMP OLIVAS — Police confiscated nearly P7.5 million worth of illegal drugs in Mariveles, Bataan.

In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Bataan police director Col. Romell A Velasco said members of the Mariveles police, armed with a search warrant, proceeded to Sto. Domingo Village, Bgy. San Isidro, Mariveles, Bataan to effect the warrant which resulted in the arrest of Noel dela Cruz and his minor cohort.

Seized were one .45 pistol loaded with four live bullets, a holster, two magazines loaded with 17 pieces of .45 ammunition, two boxes containing 76 pieces of .22 bullets, a glass pipe, a weighing scale, one tickler, 14 pieces of medium to large size plastic sachets and two  pieces of tea bags containing shabu weighing approximately 1.1 kilos with an estimated street value of  P7,480,000.

Hidalgo Jr. said the strengthened anti-illegal drug campaign and effective intelligence response to combat these lawbreakers are being carried out in accordance with the directives of PNP chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr., to maintain peace and order in the province.
