First five-star hotel in Central Luzon is among 5 awardees in PH
CLARK FREEPORT – Clark Marriott Hotel has been conferred an ASEAN MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Convention and Exhibition) Venue Award-Meeting Room Category for its Grand Ballroom.
Director Carol Uy of the Department of Tourism Region III awarded the plaque to Clark Marriott, represented by Director of Sales & Marketing Charley Magabo and Director of Sales Jenny Rivera.
The awarding ceremony was held at Sokha Beach Resort, Preah Sihanouk Province, Kingdom of Cambodia last January 19, 2022. Other Philippine cities and hotels were also given this prestigious international recognition — only five (5) were awarded for the MICE venue, and Clark Marriott is among the two (2) properties from Clark.
The pillarless Grand Ballroom of Clark Marriott, which can accommodate up to 360 people, features high ceilings and an expansive space. In its more than 3 years of operation, it has hosted notable events including Travel Business Exchange (TBEX) Pilipinas 2018, 2019, and 2021, and Department of Tourism’s 2nd Philippine Education Tourism Conference 2022.
MICE is one of the growing sectors in ASEAN Countries. With the ASEAN MICE Venue Standards (AMVS), certified MICE venues like Clark Marriott Hotel will aim to remain competitive and cooperative in providing quality MICE venues to the visitors, making ASEAN a competitive MICE region.
