CLARK FREEPORT — Clark International Airport (CRK) has strengthened its position as one of the country’s leading aviation hubs as it recorded a 2.4 million passenger traffic, also a significant increase in flight operations for 2024.
The airport served 2.4 million passengers last year, posting a 20 percent growth compared to 2023. Of these, 35 percent are domestic travelers and 65 percent are international passengers.
Flight operations also saw an impressive 29 percent rise, totaling 19,221 flights in 2024. The flight figure represents 47 percent domestic and 53 percent international routes. Domestic passenger traffic surged by 32 percent, while international passenger numbers rose by 15 percent.
Meanwhile, domestic flights increased by 56%, and international flights grew by 12 percent.
Noel Manankil, Chief Executive Officer of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), the operator of CRK, expressed pride in these achievements.
“These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent the dedication of everyone involved in making CRK a valuable gateway to the Philippines. Our commitment to providing exceptional service to our passengers remains a primary focus while maintaining a close partnership with government stakeholders to ensure regional growth and global connectivity,” said Manankil.
Last year, CRK was named International Airport of the Year – Philippines at the prestigious 2024 TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards – Asia for its exceptional passenger services and its transformative contributions to the aviation industry.
The airport’s innovative initiatives, including the implementation of Minimum Performance Specifications and Standards (MPSS), have set benchmarks for quality and operational efficiency. Regular audits conducted by the Airports Council International (ACI), alongside robust passenger feedback systems, ensure that CRK consistently meets global standards and enhances the travel experience.
As a member of ACI, representing over 2,100 airports worldwide, CRK upholds the highest standards in the aviation industry and strengthens its position as a vital gateway for both local and international travelers.
