Garbo warns drug pushers: Stay away from Mabalacat City

MABALACAT CITY — Mayor Crisostomo Garbo gave a stern warning to illegal drug pushers who plan to proliferate prohibited substances in his city: “Back off.”

This message was issued after Mabalacat police found and neutralized some of the suspects in the killing of two (2) local police personnel last week.

“Huwag na kayong pumasok dito dahil matindi ang direktiba ko. Since I took over as the mayor, wala ni isa ang naipakiusap sa akin regarding sa droga o sa sugal,” said Garbo pertaining to the perpetrators trying to pose a bribe in exchange of protection from the local government.

The Mabalacat City Government (MCG) has been consistent in conducting regular assemblies with its Peace and Order Council which consists of various departments and government agencies like the DILG, PNP, PDEA, BFP, barangay officials, and other local authorities.

Just this January, MCG’s Anti-Drug Abuse Council has been awarded as one of the best councils by the PDEA for its exemplary efforts in the performance of its duties complementing the national government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
