SP condoles with Sasmuan VM kin

​2nd district Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab moves for the passing of a resolution honoring the late Vice Mayor Nardo Velasco for his contribution as a public servant and a leader in Sasmuan town.

SASMUAN, Pampanga – The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Pampanga on Monday passed a resolution expressing condolences to the family of Sasmuan Vice Mayor Nardo Velasco, who died on Sunday due to health complications. 

2nd District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab moved for the passing of the resolution as she extolled the late mayor’s humility.  Pineda said that Velasco began his political career as mayor the same time when she served as mayor of Lubao. 

Velasco served as mayor for three terms before being elected as vice mayor of Sasmuan in the local 2022 elections.   

Sasmuan Mayor Catalina Cabrera expressed grief over the demise of Velasco, thanking the late mayor for his service to the people of Sasmuan and for his brief support and stint as vice mayor of the town. 

Also, Second District Rep. Mikey Arroyo, in a Facebook post, expressed sympathy over the death of Velasco.
