To combat rising heat index: Hauslands Pampanga leads tree planting

In a bid to combat the rising heat index in the country, Hausland Development Corporation (HLDC) led a tree planting initiative with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of Mexico, and The Hauslands Pampanga Homeowners Association.

The project aims to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change by planting 62 Indian trees along 26th Street at The Hauslands Pampanga.

Engr. Arvin N. Siron, representing the MENRO, expressed gratitude to HLDC for their proactive approach in providing areas for tree planting within the community.

“We commend Hausland for their dedication to the welfare of homeowners and the environment. With their support, more residents will soon enjoy a cooler and healthier atmosphere within the village,” he stated.

Kristine Bernadette Roxas, president of the Homeowners Association, emphasized the importance of such initiatives.

“As residents of The Hauslands Pampanga, we recognize the significance of preserving our environment. This tree planting activity not only enhances the beauty of our surroundings but also contributes to our overall well-being, as most of us react to the presence of trees with a pleasant, relaxed, comfortable feeling of somehow being one with nature. Kudos to Hausland for initiating this activity,” she remarked.

The collaborative effort between government, the private sector, and citizens underscores the collective commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship. Through initiatives like this, The Hauslands Pampanga sets a model of responsible development and community engagement for other communities.
