Free uniforms, school supplies for AC public school students

ANGELES CITY — Public school students in this city will receive free uniforms, school supplies, and even shoes in time for the upcoming school year.

This was announced by Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. in his inaugural speech, which is part of his eight-point agenda – proving opportunities abound for all.

“Poverty must never be an excuse for not giving our children a chance for a brighter future,” Lazatin claimed.

To recall, Lazatin also said the city government to provide free uniforms, school supplies, and shoes to enrolled day care students in August, when face-to-face classes resume in the centers.

Aside from this, Lazatin also shared that his leadership will continue to coordinate with his brother, First District Cong. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin, to build more classrooms and facilities to make learning conducive to our children.

Lazatin will also tap telecommunications providers to install dedicated internet lines in all public schools.

The City College of Angeles, on the other hand, will be preparing for a blended methodology – face-to-face and online – to accommodate more students.

“We also expect to complete the third storey of the CCA within the next few months,” Lazatin said.
