Murder suspect, 21 law offenders nabbed in Bulacan

CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S SANTOS – Some 22 law violators including a murder suspect, two drug peddlers and 19 illegal gamblers were arrested in a one-day  operation by the Bulacan police.

Bulacan police acting director Col. Rommel Ochaver said the prompt police response by the City of San Jose Del Monte (CSJDM) resulted to the arrest of a suspect in a murder case in Bgy. Kaybanban, CSJDM. He was identified as Danilo Peralta, driver of the motorcycle used in the crime, while the gunman managed to escape.

Police said prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect argued but were pacified. However, when the victim boarded the motorcycle, the suspect followed and gunned down the victim.

Meanwhile, two drug peddlers were arrested by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of San Miguel and Bocaue police in a drug-bust.

They were identified as Jayson Calaunan alias Ambo, of San Vicente, San Miguel; and Arjon Castro, of Bunducan, Bocaue. Seized from them were 15 sachets of shabu and the marked money.

Some 16 persons were caught in the act of engaging in illegal tupada by the Pandi and CSJDM police together with 2nd PMFC while the Angat police arrested three individuals playing tong-its.

Recovered from the operation were fighting cocks, gaff, set of playing cards and bet money in different denominations.
