CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS, City of Malolos, Bulacan – Thirteen more individuals were arrested on Friday in other anti-crime operations in Bulacan.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Bulacan police acting commander Col. Manuel Lukban Jr. said a series of anti-illegal gambling operations were conducted in the cities of Meycauayan, San Jose del Monte, and Baliwag that resulted in the arrest of eight individuals.
On the other hand, five people involved in the distribution of imported and untaxed cigarettes were nabbed in different entrapment operations by the operatives of Paombong and Pandi PNP in Bgy Pinalagdan, Paombong, and Bgy. Mapulang Lupa, in Pandi, Bulacan.
Seized from suspects PaoIo Ballesteros, of Bgy. Pinalagdan, Paombong; Zenaida Ignacio, of Bgy. Balasing, Sta Maria; Susan delos Santos, of Bgy. Cacarong Bata, Pandi; Feliciano Mallari, of Bgy. Pinacpinacan, San Rafael; and Jennylyn Taruc, of Bgy. San Jose, San Luis, Pampang, were three boxes containing 50 reams of LIGUN; 90 reams of RGD; two reams of Two Moon; 252 reams of Two Moon Menthol; 152) reams of Two Moon Premium; and 100 reams of Might cigarettes.
Appropriate criminal complaints against the suspects are now being prepared.
Baccay vowed that the Central Luzon police will remain vigilant on its crackdown against illegal gambling and selling of fake cigarettes.
