CAMP OLIVAS – Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested on Tuesday, yielding over P400,000 worth of shabu.
Pampanga police acting director Col. Alvin Consolacion said joint elements of RPDEU-3, SCU3-RID, PIU, Pampanga and Mabalacat City police conducted anti-illegal drug bust operation in Bgy., Mawaque Maragul, Mabalacat City, resulting in the arrest of Alfredo Mercado, 43, of Bgy. Tabun, Mabalacat City; and Millan Siapo, 37, of Bgy., Minane, Conception, Tarlac.
Seized from the suspects were two cell phones, a body bag, a motorcycle with plate number RG7806, five plastic sachets containing shabu weighing at least 60 grams valued at P408,000, and the P1,000 marked money.
The two will be charged with violation of R.A. 9165.
“Continuous proactive operations are being carried out as PRO3 invigorates its efforts to wipe out all forms of illegal drugs in order to achieve its quest for a drug-free Central Luzon,” said PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay.
