2 rebels surrender in CL

CAMP OLIVAS – The CPP-NPA-NDF is constantly losing its frontline forces after two more rebels on Friday surrendered in Central Luzon.

Nueva Ecija acting police director Col. Rhoderick Campo said a joint police operating units of Bongabon,  Gabaldon, Jaen, CIDG and SAF Nueva Ecija facilitated the surrender of  “Ka Juan”, 28,  team leader of Squad Uno of KLG Sierra Madre and  resident of Esperanza, Agusan Del Sur.

Meanwhile, Tarlac acting police director Col. Erwin Sanque reported that a former member of Militiang Bayan identified as “Ka Diego/Ka Digs,” 69, a farmer and resident of Bgy. Mamonit, Mayantoc, Tarlac, surrendered along with one .45 pistol and five live bullets.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said the former rebels are both eligible to avail the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (e-clip) and will be provided with a holistic package of benefits such as livelihood, medical, education, housing and legal assistance.
