200 Mabalacat students get school supplies from youth development office

MABALACAT CITY – The City Youth Development Office (CYDO) distributed school supplies to 200 students of the Mabalacat Community High School (MCHS) on February 20, 2025, equipping them with essential materials to support their academic journey.

Beyond addressing students’ financial struggles, the event also aimed to raise awareness on crucial social issues.

Led by ICO Jaira Lomahan, the project is part of the city’s continuous efforts to prioritize education and youth welfare.

Mayor Cris Garbo Garbo personally attended the program, delivering an inspiring message to the students, reinforcing his unwavering commitment to their education and well-being.

Adding to the event’s impact, Miss Mabalacat 2025 candidates engaged with the youth, offering motivational insights and advice.

A symposium followed the distribution, featuring expert speakers who tackled vital topics affecting today’s youth: Anti-Drug Awareness, Self-Worth Beyond Social Media, and Sexual and Reproductive Health Education. These discussions aimed to equip students with knowledge and awareness for making informed life choices.

The event concluded with a message of gratitude from MCHS School Principal Chevy Tanglao, who extended his appreciation to all those who contributed to the program’s success. Special thanks were given to SK Federation President Hon. Paul Andre Tiongco for his active involvement, as well as to the MCHS faculty and staff for their support in organizing the event.
