3 dead as building collapses in Bulacan

CAMP GEN ALEJO S SANTOS — A building in Meycauayan City collapsed on Wednesday, resulting to the death of three persons while another one was seriously injured.

In a report to Bulacan police acting director Col. Charlie Cabradilla said the second floor of E-ONE Consumer Trading Corporation located at Industrial Park, Bgy. Libtong, Meycauayan, Bulacan, collapsed resulting in multiple deaths and serious physical injuries.

The three fatalities, who were all employees of E-ONE Consumer Trading Corporation, were identified as Roel Preston, 38, of Bignay, Valenzuela City; Annalyn Baldon, 35, of Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, Quezon City; and James Franklin Marcelo, 19, of Brgy. Perez, Meycauayan City, Bulacan; while Marjorie Naling, 28, of Bagumbong North, Caloocan City, who suffered multiple injuries was, taken to Meycauayan Doctors Hospital.

Initial investigation conducted by the Meycauayan City police stated that according to the assessment of the Meycauayan Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and statements from witnesses, the building collapsed due to alleged overloading of stocked parcels and the four employees were trapped inside the collapsed building.
