CAMP OLIVAS – Three suspected drug peddlers were arrested on Friday, yielding at least P1.7 million worth of shabu in an anti-illegal drug operation in Mabalacat City.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said joint operating troops of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 3, Special Concern Unit 3-Regional Intelligence Division and Mabalacat City police conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Sta. Maria, Mabalacat City, which resulted in the arrest of Alvin Cortez, Rosa Linda Dizon, and Orlando Cortez, all residents of Xevera Subdivision, Mabalacat City.
Police confiscated from the suspects three knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing more or less 250 grams valued at P1.7 million, a bank passbook, a driver’s license, one cellphone, a weighing scale, a body bag, two P1,000 marked bills with 98 pieces boodle money, and a Toyota Vios.
Baccay said appropriate charges for violations of Section 5 and 11, Article II of RA 9165 are being prepared against the suspects as he vowed that the Central Luzon police force will continuously eradicate all forms of illegal drugs.
