ANGELES CITY – At least 300 people benefited from the “Kabuhayan Power” livelihood program of Vice Mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting.

The beneficiaries came from various groups, including members of the LGBTQIA+, LALAV, 4Ps and Solo Parents. They were given meat products from Giada’s.

Vega-Cabigting urged them to resell the products and start a business. Giada’s owner Chie Lozano gave  discounted prices.

Vega-Cabigting said they will be given the same discounted prices once they buy again products from Giada’s. She thanked Lozano for her generous support.

The two-term vice mayor said she started the “Kabuhayan Power” when she was still a city councilor in 2005 with the help of the late Angeles City Mayor and Congressman Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin.

“There were no products given them. It was just a seminar on how to grow a business or livelihood. Now, we have something to share aside from a seminar,” said Vega-Cabigting shortly after the event in Barangay Pulungbulu on Thursday.

She thanked Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin and his brother, Rep. Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin, for assisting her. Also present to give support was Angeles City Councilor Mich Bonifacio.

Vega-Cabigting said she will bring the same project in other villages of the city.

“We will raffle off livelihood packages in other barangays,” she added.
