BATAAN – The one-day anti-crime campaign of the Bataan police resulted to the arrest of the No. 15 most wanted person in Taboso, Negros Occidental and three other law offenders, and the seizure of a gun and illegal drugs.
Bataan police director Col .Rommel Velasco said the Mariveles cops nabbed Matias Sarita Jr., 32, a native of Bgy. Bandilla, Taboso in Negros Occidental residing at Paliparan, Bgy. Lucsanin, Mariveles, Bataan, while securing a police clearance.
Records retrieved through the National Police Clearance System (NPCS) showed a standing warrant of arrest against Sarita for murder.
Velasco said Samal police, Bataan 1st PMFC, 1st Platoon Base, 302nd Maneuver Company of RMFB 3 teamed up to serve a warrant on Louie Valenzuela, 40, of Bgy. 10175, San Juan, Samal, for violation of Anti-Cyber Crime Prevention Act.
SDEU operatives of Abucay police with PPDEU Bataan PPO with the coordination of PDEA RO3, conducted a buy-bust on Erwin Espiritu, 50; and Jhanboy Jordan, 26, both of Bgy. Wawa, Abucay, Bataan.
Recovered from the suspects were 16 plastic sachets containing shabu worth P42,000, one weighing scale, an improvised tooter, a homemade .22 pistol loaded with five live bullets, and the marked money.
