CAMP OLIVAS – As crime takes no holiday, 410 individuals were arrested by the Central Luzon police in its week-long operations from December 20 to 26.
PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said among the 410 apprehended individuals, 172 persons have standing warrants of arrest, 33 of whom have strings of warrants ranging from murder, rape and frustrated murder while 92 were accosted for illegal gambling, 134 for illegal drugs and 12 for violating local ordinances and other special laws.
Some 212 grams of shabu worth P1,441,799 and 53 grams of marijuana valued at P7,520 were seized along with the confiscation of bet money amounting to P31,794.
“As we anticipate crimes to proliferate during this holiday season, we are always on our toes to ensure the public of a safe, secure and enjoyable Christmas and New Year,” Baccay said.
