CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — A total of 6,066 students from various towns in Pampanga received financial support under the Educational Financial Assistance Program (EFAP) of the Provincial Government on Tuesday, September 30, at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center.

Each scholar was granted ₱4,000 in educational assistance, amounting to more than ₱24.3 million in total aid distributed by the Capitol.

Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda led the distribution together with Board Members Cherry Manalo, Christian Halili, Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Lucky Labung, Dra. Kaye Naguit, SK Federation President John Carlo Cruz, Board Member Maynard Lapid, and Provincial Librarian Jasmine Cordero.

Vice Gov Delta also took the opportunity to personally engage with and check on the scholars.
In his message, he reminded the scholars to value their education:
“Anak, ang pinapakiusap lang namin kasama ng inyong mga board members, sana tapusin ninyo ang inyong pag-aaral. Kahit sa maliit na bagay na ito, ang probinsya at ang Kapitolyo ay naging partner sa pag-aaral ninyo, naging bahagi ng inyong future. Importante na matapos kayo sa pag-aaral ninyo. Kapag natapos kayo, kahit anong trabahong pasukin ninyo, hindi kayo matatakot,” he said.

Prior to the distribution, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) conducted an orientation to inform the beneficiaries about safeguarding themselves against illegal recruitment.
The EFAP is more than just financial support, it is a key investment in the future of young Kapampangans, helping them pursue their education and achieve a brighter tomorrow.
