CAMP OLIVAS – A debt of ₱13 million may have been the motive behind the deaths of Arvin and Lerma Lulu, following the arrest of 7 suspects allegedly connected to the couple’s ambush on Oct. 4, 2024 in Mexico town.
Tracker teams conducted a 2-day focused operation which led to the arrest of two key suspects, identified as Arnold Taylan (Gunman) and Arnel Buan (Backrider), in Nueva Ecija.
The initial statements provided by Taylan and Buan proved crucial, enabling authorities to identify and apprehend the remaining five suspects: Robert Dimaliwat, Rolando Cruz, Jomie Rabandaban, Sancho Nieto, and the alleged mastermind, Anthony Limon.
Investigations revealed that Limon, who is also an online seller like the victims, owed the couple ₱13 million, providing a potential motive for the crime.
During the operations, law enforcement officials seized a total of nine firearms, including three (3) caliber 9mm pistols, five (5) caliber .45 pistols, one (1) .22 caliber rifle, and one (1) air gun.
PBGen Redrico A. Maranan, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 3, commended the tireless efforts of the police operatives involved in this case, emphasizing the PNP’s unwavering commitment to delivering justice for the victims’ families.
“Our mission to ensure the safety and security of our community remains our top priority,” he stated. “We will leave no stone unturned in our pursuit of justice and accountability for this heinous crime.”
Involved in the operations were the Mexico Municipal Police Station, the Pampanga Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB), and the 1st and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Companies (PMFC).
