9 nabbed, over P500-K shabu seized in Central Luzon drug ops

CAMP OLIVAS – Central Luzon police director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay on Tuesday announced the arrest of nine suspects and the confiscation of over P500,000 worth of shabu in a 24-hour drug operation in the region.

Baccay said operatives of the Mabalacat police conducted a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Mabiga, Mabalacat City that resulted in the arrest of  Reynante Pineda, a high value target, 52; and Ana Marie Bitug, 38. Seized from the two were seven plastic sachets of shabu weighing at least 56 grams valued at P380,000.

Meanwhile, four drug suspects – Gil Ciego, 38; Rania Jularbal, 23; Ian Ramos, 28; and Justine Mercado, 21 – were arrested by members of the Norzagaray police in an entrapment in Bgy. Bigte, Norzagaray, Bulacan.

Recovered from the suspects were 11 plastic sachets of shabu worth P49,640.

Joint elements of the Subic police and PDEA Zambales conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Matain, Subic that resulted in the arrest of three drug suspects namely Abbygail Cleofe, 37; Ace Narez, 30; and Michael Tolentino 34.

The three yielded five plastic sachets of shabu worth P89,700 and several drug paraphernalia.

Baccay said the total evidence collected from the suspects were 23 plastic sachets of shabu with DDB estimated street value of P519,340.

All the suspects will be charged with violation of RA 9165.

“The Central Luzon police will continue to launch operations to wipe out the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region,” Baccay said.
