Free supplies, shoes for Angeles City’s Day Care students

ANGELES CITY — All school supplies, books, bags, uniforms, and even shoes will be provided to Day Care students of this city once classes resume in August.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. made this announcement on June 9, 2022 during the city’s celebration of Day Care Workers’ Week at the Azurro Hotel.

Aside from these, uniforms of the 68 Day Care workers will also be provided by the city government.

“We will always continue our mission that no Angeleño children will be left behind in terms of education,” Lazatin vows.

City Social Welfare and Development Officer Edna Duaso and the 68 Day Care workers showed their heartfelt joy upon hearing the good news.

Duaso said this will encourage the parents to send their kids, aged 3 to 4, to the centers, which have been improved despite the pandemic.

Sa katunayan po, namigay din ng air conditioning units and electric fan si Mayor Lazatin sa mga centers natin noong January 2021 and March 2020,” Duaso mentioned.

Duaso said that based on the guidelines, 50% capacity will now be allowed inside the Day Care centers once face-to-face classes resume in August.

“It is assuring to know that the leadership of Mayor Lazatin is very supportive and hands-on when it comes to the needs of the children, the teachers, and the centers as well,” Duaso shared.

On behalf of the Federation of Angeles City Day Care Workers, its vice president Lydia Wales expressed her appreciation to the initiative of Mayor Lazatin.

Malaking kabawasan po ito para sa mga magulang dahil lahat po ay libre na,” Wales said. “Maraming salamat po.”
