MABALACAT CITY – Mayor Cristosmo Garbo took part in the opening of the 31st North Luzon Area Business Conference (NLABC) by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) North Luzon at the Hilton Clark Sun Valley Resort, Clark Freeport on September 16.
NLABC is an annual business convention where key government officials and business leaders from PCCI and other local chambers in Regions I, II and III meet to discuss public-private partnerships and explore new business opportunities.
Garbo emphasized the importance of NLABC in forging strong partnerships between the government and the business sector to boost the economy as well as provide better opportunities for the Filipinos.
Anchored to the theme, “North Luzon: Ready for takeoff”, the business conference is centered on the competitive advantages that make the area more agile and able to recover faster from the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Garbo also mentioned the timeliness of the event as it funnels through the plan to establish a business chamber for Mabalacat City.
Among the key persons who graced the two-day conference were Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, PCCI president George Barcelon, North Luzon area vice president Gigi Simbulan, Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc president Elizabeth Timbol, Bataan Governor Jose Enrique Garcia III, Albay 2nd District representative Joey Salceda, and Clark Development Corporation CDC President Atty. Agnes Devanadera.
