ANGELES CITY — A cop was arrested after he and his live-in partner allegedly assaulted the latter’s 10-year-old son, police said.
The boy’s mom, identified as Princess Adrianne Cabrillas, 31, of 190 Purok 6, Pulung Cacutud, Angeles City, managed to escape while her partner Benjamin Garcia Jr., 38, a police officer from this city, was arrested by responding cops.
Reports said the boy was kicked and hit with a PVC pipe by his own mother and Garcia.
The boy was accompanied by his grandmother to the Angeles City CIDG and told police his mother and her live-in partner mauled, kicked, and hit his head with a PVC pipe.
The boy said when the two suspects left their house, he immediately went to the house of his grandmother to seek help and together they went to the police.
The Angeles police led by Sgt. Aquino went to the boy’s house but was only able to arrest Garcia.
The victim was referred to the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) for medical treatment while the two suspects will be charged with violation of RA 7610 or the child abuse law.
