
CLARK — The first set of trains for Philippine National Railways (PNR) Clark Phase 1 is expected to arrive before Christmas, according to the Department of Transportation.
The train set will leave Yokohama, Japan this October after undergoing several Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
Through the aforementioned accreditation, it will be tested whether the new train sets meet the intended purpose and minimum standards of the agency.
The railway is expected to carry 300,000 passengers daily from Tutuban, Metro Manila to Malolos City in Bulacan.
Once complete, travel time from Tutuban to Malolos will now only take only 35 minutes, from more than the usual one hour.
