CAMP OLIVAS — Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Cesar Pasiwen lauded the efforts and contributions of the Intelligence Division under Col. Reycon Garduque, chief of Regional Intelligence Division, in maintaining peace and security in Central Luzon being the “brain, eyes and ears” of the region’s police force.
In the Monday flag raising ceremony, intelligence officers of the different provincial and city police offices were given recognition and awarded by Brig. Gen. Enrico Vargas, DRDA, PRO3, together with the guest of honor and speaker Brig. Gen. Andrew Cayad, director, Intelligence Group represented by Col. Nestor Babagay Jr., deputy director for Administration, IG.
Among the awardees are Capt. Silvestre Colanza, deputy chief and Intel officer of Bagac police and Ssg. Marlon Mercado, for the arrest of one of DILG’s most wanted person.
Both Colanza and Mercado were given a Medalya ng Kadakilaan.
Pasiwen said the intelligence is important in promoting peace, security, and progress, particularly in line with PNP Chief Azurin’s PNP’s M+K+K=K Peace and Security framework, which stands for “Malasakit + Kaayusan + Kapayapaan = Kaunlaran”.
