Pampanga BM aids 1,119 indigents, pregnant moms in Floridablanca

FLORIDABLANCA, Pampanga — Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda Cayabyab on Tuesday aided 1,119 indigent families and pregnant women with food packs and vitamins as part of her program to assist vulnerable sectors of the community amid the ongoing pandemic.

Pineda-Cayabyab visited 509 beneficiaries at the Floridablanca Municipal Gym and another 610 recipients in La Blanca in Barangay San Pedro. The lady board member also gave out snacks and cash assistance to the benefiaciries.

She said she aims to assure vulnerable sectors that the provincial government is one with them in their needs and concerns.

The distribution was also an opportunity for the board member to meet local residents and hear their concerns.

“We hope to reach people who have yet to receive anything amid this ongoing pandemic. It is a statement of assurance that their local government is here for them,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.

Mayor Darwin Manalansan, who accompanied Pineda-Cayabyab in the event, lauded her for the support she has been extending to the town.  He added that the support is essential for people whose livelihoods have been affected by the pandemic.
