ANGELES CITY – Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. immediately ordered the release of P10,000 each to the seven families who were affected by a fire in Barangay Lourdes Sur East here yesterday, Nov. 7, 2021.
Lazatin instructed the Local Finance Committee — composed of City Budget Office, City Treasurer’s Office and City Accounting Office — to immediately process the financial assistance for the seven families, composed of 27 individuals.
The funds for the assistance will be taken from the Office of the City Mayor’s regular budget.
“Ito pong halaga na ito ay bilang tulong sa mga kababayan nating naapektuhan ng nakaraang sunog,” Mayor Lazatin said.
Aside from the P10,000 cash assistance, the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) headed by Edna Duaso already distributed food assistance, hygiene kits, sleeping mat and blankets to the residents on the same day, Nov. 7, 2021, upon the order of Mayor Lazatin.
Lazatin also sent a medical team from the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (ACDRRMO) led by Rudy Simeon to check on the victims.
