CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) is urging members to utilize its online services through the eGovPH app.

The eGovPH app, which stands for e-Government Philippines, is a mobile application designed to streamline transactions between government agencies and citizens by consolidating various government services into a single platform.

This one-stop-shop application aims to enhance convenience and efficiency in government transactions.

During the 16th episode of the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas of the Philippine Information Agency, PhilHealth Regional Office III Acting Vice President Henry Almanon emphasized that PhilHealth was among the first agencies to integrate with the eGovPH app, in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive for digitalization.

“Members can now easily access their profiles, check contributions, and even register for Konsulta through their mobile phones,” Almanon said.

To access PhilHealth services on the eGovPH app, users should first enter their Mobile Personal Identification Number or MPIN.

After logging in, they can scroll down and click on the PhilHealth icon.

This will allow them to check or access their profile, contributions, claims, and Konsulta.

PhilHealth Regional Office III-Branch B Acting Branch Manager Arlan Granali also encouraged members to take full advantage of the digital services offered through the app.

However, for those who prefer on-site transactions, he reiterated that Bayad Centers and field express payment stations in malls are available for payments and inquiries about benefits.

“All access for members is ensured by PhilHealth to provide accurate and valuable information… We are here to help everyone as far as universal health care is concerned,” Granali added.

Furthermore, PhilHealth is exploring the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to expedite claims processing and enhance reimbursements.

Almanon mentioned a recent agreement with a global information technology solutions provider to pilot AI software for claims management.

“This initiative aims to reduce processing time and minimize return-to-hospital claims due to deficient documentation or compliance,” he explained.

Overall, these efforts demonstrate PhilHealth’s dedication to improving accessibility and efficiency in delivering health services to the Filipino people through digitalization.
