4 suspects arrested for theft at TTKD event in Angeles City

ANGELES CITY — Four suspects were arrested for theft during the Tigtigan Terakan Keng Dalan (TTKD) event in front of Casino Filipino along McArthur Highway, Barangay Balibago on Oct. 27, 2024.

The suspects, identified as Robinson Rusell Luna Asoy, Christer Miguel Sobiono, Jimson Flandez, and Francis Cristal Villena, were apprehended at approximately 4:00 AM by personnel from Angeles City Police Station 4.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr. commended the swift action and vigilance of the Angeles City Police, especially for their effective monitoring during the TTKD event.

“Bawal ‘yan sa Angeles City,” Lazatin stated, emphasizing the city’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for both residents and visitors.

The arrest followed a report from Yasmin Sarip Lumabao, a 20-year-old student, who reported her phone stolen at the TTKD Command Post.

Police Intel personnel were immediately dispatched to investigate and soon identified the suspects causing a disturbance, reportedly to divert attention at the crowded event.

Upon questioning, officers recovered multiple mobile phones in the suspects’ possession, including the victim’s Infinix Note 30 5G.

The suspects are currently held at Police Station 4 for documentation and further investigation.
