CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Residents of Barangay San Nicolas in this city are grateful for the works set to improve and upgrade their barangay road.

Located at Sitio Bulusan, the road project’s groundbreaking ceremony was led by Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda, Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, Board Member Ananias Canlas Jr., and former Board Member and Mayor Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab on Saturday, January 25, 2025.

A total of ₱3,980,566.14 has been allocated for the project, which is expected to be completed by May.

According to Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, the project will elevate the road by an average of 60 centimeters and cover a length of 204.7 linear meters.

The rehabilitation and elevation of the drainage system will significantly improve water flow and prevent the accumulation of stagnant water, a common cause of flooding in the area during the rainy season.

Residents are hopeful that this project will enhance the safety and accessibility of the road, ultimately benefiting the entire community.

“At long last maaayos at mapapaganda na ang daan namin dito sa San Nicolas…maiiwasan na ang pagbaha, wala na ring madudulas,” said Tany David, a resident from the said barangay.

This initiative is part of Governor Delta’s ongoing efforts to uplift the lives of Kapampangans through improved infrastructure and disaster resilience

Also present during the ground breaking ceremony were Special Assistant to the Governor Angelina Blanco, Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, City councilors Rose Calimlim, Ricky Hizon, and Rosalie Mendoza, as well as Barangay Captain Jerwin Sembrano.
