
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – Brigadier General Jean S. Fajardo, director of Police Regional Office 3 yesterday said the Bulacan police discovered an arsenal of illegal weapons inside the house of a man suspected to be a member of a gun running syndicate operating in Central Luzon.
Fajardo said during the execution of a search warrant at the residence of a certain “Ed” in Barangay Sumanding, San Ildefonso, Bulacan on February 3, 2025, joint operatives from the Intelligence Unit of Bulacan Police Provincial Office, San Ildefonso Municipal Police Station, 1st and 2nd Bulacan PNP Mobile Force Companies, Bulacan Provincial Explosives and Canine Unit seized two converted rifles with scopes, a pistol equipped with a laser sight, a fragmentation grenade, magazines and a stockpile of ammunition.
Also during the raid, police were able to seize from the suspect a quantity of dried marijuana leaves, a weighing scale and drug paraphernalia.
The lady general commended the Bulacan Provincial Police for the successful operation which aims to curb the proliferation of loose firearms that poses a threat to public safety and security, particularly with the holding of the midterm elections in May 2025.
“This operation sends a clear and strong message, there is no place for lawlessness in Central Luzon,” Fajardo further said.
The suspect is now detained at the Bulacan Detention Cell after multiple charges related to illegal possession of firearms, explosives and illegal drugs.
