CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – A suspected drug dealer listed as a “high value target” by authorities was arrested by police in an entrapment operation in Barangay San Jose, Magalang, Pampanga on Feb. 4, 2025.
Police Colonel Jay C. Dimaandal, director of the Pampanga Provincial Police Office, said the suspect identified only as “Kardo” did not resist when he was placed under arrest by members of Magalang police late Tueaday night, after receiving the marked money from a cop who acted as poseur buyer in exchange of several sachets of methampetamine hydrochloride or shabu.
Dimaandal said a buy-bust operation was immediately launched by the police against the suspect after confirming a report from the provincial office of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency about his involvement in illegal drugs.
He said the suspect, a resident of Angono, Rizal was listed as one of the “high value target” of PDEA and PNP due to his alleged involvement in big-time drug pushing in Pampanga and nearby provinces.
According to Dimaandal, a total of 410 grams of illegal drugs with a street value of ₱2,788,000 were seized by the police from the suspect.
“The operation is considered as the largest confiscation of illegal drugs in the province this year so far. We are sending a clear message to criminal syndicates that we are relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs and we will continue to hunt them down,” he said.
The suspect is now held at the detention center of Magalang Police Station after charges for violation of Republic Act 9164 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against him in court.
