Hann Foundation restores historic Holy Rosary Parish in Angeles City

The restoration of the Holy Rosary Parish Church (HRP) in Angeles City, which suffered substantial damage during the 2019 earthquake, has finally been completed.

The restoration of the historic church was made possible with a ₱5-million contribution from the Hann Foundation, Inc. (HFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Hann Philippines, Inc., in line with HFI’s cultural heritage focus.

HFI, which rebranded from Widus Foundation in December 2022, has committed to five key advocacy pillars: Health, Environment, Education, Cultural Heritage, and Community Development.

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed in September 2024 at a KapiHANN forum at Hann Resorts’ Swissotel Clark, with the formal turnover ceremony held on January 31, 2025. The event was attended by church officials, HFI representatives, and other distinguished guests, celebrating the completion of the church’s restoration.

The restoration work focused on key areas within the church, including the Chapel of Devotion, Baptistry, Confessionals, and the Narthex Gallery of Saints. Each space was meticulously renovated to enhance both its historical integrity and functionality, ensuring a more enriching experience for parishioners.

The Chapel of Devotion now offers improved accessibility to the revered image of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary. The Baptistry was transformed into a welcoming space for baptisms, while the Confessionals were restored to maintain their sacred and historical significance. The Narthex Gallery of Saints stands as a testament to the enduring history of the Christian faith.

Father Jhon Paul C. Morales, Parochial Vicar of Pisamban Maragul, expressed his gratitude, stating, “On behalf of the Holy Rosary Parish community, I extend our gratitude to Hann Foundation for their generous support. These contributions are not merely financial; they represent a commitment to preserving the heart of our parish church.”

Hilana Roman, Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) President, also expressed her thanks, saying, “We are grateful to Hann Foundation for choosing us as a partner in restoring the significant areas of the Holy Rosary Parish Church.”

Ana Christi G. Galura, HFI Executive Director, reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to cultural heritage preservation, saying, “Hann Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to upholding our cultural heritage. The Pisamban Maragul is a beacon of hope for the community, and we are honored to serve our beloved Cabalen.”

In addition to this milestone, HFI also announced the upcoming turnover of the Museo Ning Angeles ‘CULINARIUM’ on February 13, 2025, a project dedicated to preserving and celebrating Angeles City’s culinary heritage.

Hann Foundation, Inc., established in 2017, serves as the corporate social responsibility and social development arm of Hann Philippines, Inc. It focuses on initiatives aimed at health, the environment, education, and cultural heritage, primarily within the communities of Central Luzon.
