
The newly constructed San Fernando-Lubao Road in Barangay Santa Barbara in Lubao town ensures safe travel at night, as it features 15 solar lights, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Pampanga 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) said.

The P21.5-million, 289.5-lineal-meter concrete pavement, completed in January 2025 under the 2024 national budget, also has a canal system designed to provide irrigation, drainage, and water supply while minimizing the risk of flooding in the area.

The road, they said, enhances transportation efficiency for residents and motorists, as well as students, as the project is located along the Don Honorio Ventura State University Lubao Campus, District Engineer Gregorio Audea, Jr. explained.

Audea added that the inspection aimed to assess the project’s effectiveness, verify its compliance with safety and operational standards, and ensure it delivers the intended benefits to the local community.


The project underscores the department’s commitment to improving infrastructure and fostering local progress, DPWH said.
