President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. has signed into law Republic Act No. 12148 officially renaming Don Honorio Ventura State University (DHVSU) to Pampanga State University.
The law aims to “strengthen the identity and operational capacity of higher education in the province of Pampanga.”
With its new name, Pampanga State University “reflects a broader provincial identity while continuing its long-standing legacy of academic excellence that dates back to its founding in 1861.”
