
ANGELES CITY – In a swift and coordinated police response, the Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) successfully solved a robbery incident that occurred at Hong Mart in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Angeles City, on May 25, 2025.
The suspect was apprehended within 17 hours of the incident.
At around 5:17 PM on May 25, 2025, a robbery took place at Hong Mart, located at Sto. Entiero corner Jesus Street, Barangay Sto. Rosario. The complainant, Charina Hong, 29, owner of the establishment, and cashier Juna Mie Buron, 24, reported that an unidentified male suspect entered the store, pretended to purchase noodles, and then threatened the cashier with what he claimed was a firearm hidden in a paper bag. The suspect forcibly took approximately ₱13,000 in cash before fleeing the scene.
The incident was reported to Police Station 1 at around 6:10 PM. Officers quickly launched a dragnet operation through the Angeles City Police Office Tactical Operations Center (ACPO TOC) and reviewed CCTV footage from the Angeles City Command Center and neighboring barangays.

On May 26, 2025, at approximately 11:30 AM, joint operatives from Police Station 1, the City Intelligence Unit (CIU) of ACPO, and Bacolor Municipal Police Station arrested the suspect, identified as alias “Joselito” resident of Barangay San Nicolas, Angeles City. He was apprehended at Sitio Sacop, Barangay Calibutbut, Bacolor, Pampanga. The motorcycle used in the commission of the crime was also recovered during the operation.
The suspect is currently under police custody, and appropriate criminal complaints are being prepared for filing through inquest proceedings.
ACPO City Director, PCol Joselito E Villarosa Jr, commended the swift action and strong coordination among law enforcement units that led to the immediate resolution of the case. He reiterated the Angeles City Police Office’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
