CLARK FREEPORT – A top official of the Clark CSR Association Inc. (CCAI) is encouraging other Clark locators to become a member and “do great things together in 2022”.

This was gleaned during a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Forum conducted by the Clark Development Corporation (CDC) for its locators held at the Clark Marriott Hotel inside this Freeport.

CCAI President Ronnel T. Golimlim, who is also the Manager of Widus Foundation Inc., shared various strategies to jumpstart CSR programs as well as different ways to engage employee volunteers.

A total of 51 locators participated in the said event with a theme “Reawakening, Consolidating, and Innovating CSR Efforts in Challenging Times.”

The forum, CDC said, aims to inspire CCAI members to be part of a collective effort to respond to the needs of the community and upcoming CSR projects by next year.

CCAI is the first of its kind in the Philippines or Special Economic Zones in the world, according to CDC Chairman Atty. Edgardo Pamintuan.

Pamintuan thanked the CCAI for organizing the Clark CSR Forum as it shows the importance of CSR for Clark locators.

“Working hand and hand together, the noble objective is to multiply the impact of a shared social development agenda. With that in mind, encouraging private participation will inspire heightened inclusive growth in Clark’s surrounding communities so that nobody gets left behind,” he said.

He also mentioned that the association is passionate in giving back to the community.

“Clark locators will assemble and organize themselves to build a sustainable, collaborative, and synergistic impact approach in helping communities and engaging employees,” Pamintuan added.

Meanwhile, CDC President and CEO Manuel R. Gaerlan delivered his inspirational message during the activity.

“You know CSR is nothing but the Filipino value of Bayanihan. It’s bayanihan, samahan – it’s a traditional Filipino value which is inherent among us Filipinos. We help one another in challenging times even without the pandemic, that’s the way we should live as a community, as neighbors,” he said.

Former CDC Chairman and current Sub-Zone Development and CSR Committee Consultant Jose P. De Jesus also attended and shared about “The Pagsasarili Family Care Center Model”.

Among those who were also present during the event are Manila Water Foundation Inc. Executive Director Reginald M. Andal, CDC Vice President for Administration and Finance Engr. Mariza O. Mandocdoc, and CDC Assistant Vice President for External Affairs Rommel C. Narciso.

In 2019, CDC organized the Clark CSR Summit and Awards themed “We Care as One” where 80 locators participated.
