PAMPANGA – The Provincial Government of Pampanga, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, has swiftly provided relief assistance to residents affected by severe flooding in the towns of Bacolor and Floridablanca.

In Brgy. Tinajero, Bacolor, evacuees temporarily sheltered at the barangay covered court received food, drinking water, sleeping mats, and tents.

A mobile kitchen was also deployed to serve hot meals, with support from personnel of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and General Services Office (GSO).

The assistance comes in response to rising floodwaters in the said barangay after water levels reached over four feet as of 1:00 PM, prompting a forced evacuation.

In Brgy. Maligaya, Floridablanca, 278 families were provided with food packs containing rice and canned goods. The distribution was led by Acting Vice Governor Fritzie David Dizon on behalf of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda.

According to the local government unit, flooding resulted from a breach in the dikes along the Porac River, displacing hundreds of residents.
The Provincial Government continues to work closely with local authorities to address urgent needs and ensure the safety and well-being of affected communities.
