
To usher in the start of the peak travel season this October 2025, flag carrier Philippine Airlines will be expanding its domestic flights to boost the flag carrier’s route network and meet the anticipated surge in travel demand.
Starting this October, PAL will mount additional flights across several of its busiest domestic routes. Service between Manila and Butuan will rise from 14 to 21 flights weekly, while Manila–Cagayan de Oro will grow from 35 to 42 flights weekly. Travelers bound for Cotabato will enjoy an increase from 11 to 14 weekly flights, and those flying to Legazpi (Daraga) will see frequencies climb from 21 to 28 weekly. Flights between Manila and Dumaguete will expand from 14 to 18 weekly, and the Manila–Tacloban service will also increase from 21 to 25 flights weekly.
Travelers to Siargao may choose to take flights from various access points to the idyllic island.
Manila residents and foreign tourists connecting from international flights can take PAL’s Manila–Siargao flights which will operate daily.
Passengers may also opt to fly from Manila to Cebu for a convenient transit-stop before taking the final flight leg to the island. PAL’s Cebu–Siargao flights will operate 21 times-a-week.
Travelers from Northern Metro Manila and Central Luzon may choose to fly from the Clark gateway – which can easily be reached by land travel. PAL will operate daily flights between Clark and Siargao during this period.
The vibrant island of Boracay will be served via 42 weekly flights between Manila and Boracay (Caticlan), and 14 weekly flights between Cebu and Boracay (Caticlan).
The captivating island of Coron will be served by way of seven weekly Manila–Coron (Busuanga), 14 weekly Clark–Coron (Busuanga), and 21 weekly Cebu–Coron (Busuanga) services.
Manila–Antique flights will operate thrice weekly while Manila–Catarman, four times weekly.
PAL is upgrading five of its Manila–Iloilo–Manila weekly frequencies to the Airbus A330 aircraft, from December 08, 2025, to March 28, 2026.
“By expanding our domestic flight route network through increased frequency of flights, we are able to efficiently cater to the needs of travelers. These additional flights and greater seat capacity reflect PAL’s commitment to increase connectivity across the archipelago, boost the local economy, and help drive tourism across our network,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.
For the upcoming peak travel season, PAL will operate 1,154 flights per week between Manila Airport and destinations in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, increasing flight frequency by 7%. With the added flights, PAL’s weekly seat capacity out of Manila will increase by over 14,000 seats, reflecting an uptick of 7%.
