PORAC, Pampanga — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. personally visited Katutubo Village Elementary School in Porac to extend educational support and digital connectivity assistance to indigenous learners.

A total of 127 pupils from Grades 1 to 3 received Brigada Backpacks from the Office of the President, containing essential school supplies to aid their studies.

To strengthen digital access in far-flung communities, the President likewise turned over two Starlink units to the school to ensure faster and more reliable internet connectivity.

In his message, Marcos underscored that government service is about returning resources to the people.

“Wag na po kayong mag thank you dahil trabaho talaga namin ito, pera ninyo ito kaya binabalik lang namin ito. Yan po ang pag iisip ng inyong pamahalaan, nandito para tumulong, para pagandahin ang buhay ninyo, para tumulong pagandahin ang buhay ng bawat Pilipino, para pagndahin ang ating minamahal na Pilipinas,” the President said.

School officials and the community welcomed the Chief Executive, describing his visit as a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the children.

Katutubo Village Elementary School Principal Normita Mañalac expressed gratitude for the President’s attention to their school.

“This visit is a great help to us as teachers, to the children, and to the Katutubo community. Our pupils are able to see the reality of government support, and it inspires us to continue our work with dedication,” she said.

Mañalac also took the opportunity to raise the concerns of teachers in indigenous schools, particularly the need for more teaching personnel and better compensation.

“We pray for the good health and guidance of our President so that he may continue working for the betterment and prosperity of our country. We also hope that our needs in the teaching community will be addressed,” she added.

The initiative is part of the administration’s broader efforts to promote inclusive and quality education, enhance digital connectivity in remote areas, and provide adequate learning resources for indigenous children.
