Pampanga 2nd district BM distributes aid to scholars

GUAGUA, Pampanga – Second District Board Member Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab spearheaded the release of financial assistance to some 979 students from different towns of the second district on Monday and Wednesday.

The program is part of the educational finance assistance program (EFAP) for college students who enrolled in different universities. They received P3,000 each during the distributions which were attended by 2nd Board Member Fritzie David Dizon and Vice Mayor Sajid Khan Eusoof.

The group, led by Pineda-Cayabyab, made the rounds on Monday in Floridablanca, Sasmuan and Lubao.  They also met with scholars in Guagua, Santa Rita and Porac on Wednesday.

Pineda-Cayabyab said that the province continues to invest in education to help develop a skilled and educated human resource for the province.

In the past nine years, before the term of Gov. Dennis Pineda, the provincial government had invested P1.2 billion for education.

From that investment, additional classrooms and public-school buildings are now being used by students in public schools, while thousands of senior high school (SHS) and college students are regularly receiving educational assistance from the provincial government.
