
TARLAC, Pampanga – A man allegedly involved in a series of motorcycle thefts was arrested on Thursday in Concepcion, Tarlac.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Tarlac police commander Col. Erwin Sanque said members of the Concepcion police led by acting police chief Lt. Col. Jim Tayag and the Mabalacat police arrested one of the three suspects who steal motorcycles in the province an operation in Sitio Yangca, Barangay Santiago, Concepcion, Tarlac.
Operatives seized in the raid three motorcycles, three motorcycle chassis, one Honda TMX 155 engine, four pieces of front shock absorber, five pieces of saddles, two pieces of tires with rim, three crank cases, two pieces of carrier, a swing arm, four pieces of back shock absorber, a Honda TMX fuel tank, two pieces of hub, two pieces of rims, and assorted parts and accessories of motorcycles.
Tayag said victim Shiela Lacson informed police that a Honda TMX 125 motorbike parked in their garage was stolen on Thursday.
Police immediately set up a checkpoint and Oplan Sita in all entry and exit points of the town of Concepcion and a rider was flagged down in Barangay San Nicolas Balas driving a motorcycle similar to the one reported by the victim.
The cops identified the rider as Chris Pablacio, 22, of Barangay La Purisima, La Paz, Tarlac, who failed to present any documents on the ownership of the motorcycle.
The cops took Pablacio to the police station where the victim positively identified the motorcycle being driven by the suspect as the one stolen in their garage.
A body search on Pablacio yielded a sling bag containing two live bullets of a .38 gun, a replica of .45 pistol, a kitchen knife, several motorcycle keys and assorted tools.
Upon questioning, the suspect disclosed the location of other stolen vehicles and the identities of his cohorts.
Tayag said the suspect was charged with violation of RA 10591at the Capas, Tarlac RTC.
Sanque commended the operating team as he advised his men to continue in solving vehicle MC thefts in the municipality.
