CAMP GENERAL ALEJO S. SANTOS – Six women, including four minors, were rescued while an alleged pimp was arrested on Friday in a sex den raid on MacArthur Highway, Bgy. Calvario, Meycauayan City.
In a report to PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay, Bulacan police acting director Col. Manuel Lukban Jr. said the rescue operation conducted by the Regional Anti-Trafficking in Person Task Group (RATTG3) and the Meycauayan police resulted in the arrest of an alleged pimp identified as JC Hataas Tabernero alias Aira, 18, of Little Grace Park, Malhacan, Meycauayan City, Bulacan and the rescue of six women.
The operation was launched after police received information that Tabernero is engaged in the “hospitality industry” and the report yielded positive result.
The suspect will be charged with violation of RA 9208 as amended by RA 10364 while the rescued minors are temporarily being sheltered by the CSWD.
