BATAAN – This province’s police director Romell Velasco reported the arrest on Monday of two drug traffickers during a buy-bust.
According to Velasco, Mariveles police chief Lt. Col. Gerald Gamboa said DEU operatives and the Bataan PPDEU in coordination with PDEA RO3, conducted an entrapment on Dama De Noche Street, Bgy. Alasasin Mariveles which resulted to the arrest of Jerson Encarnacion, 25, of Bgy. Ganingon, Tampilisan, Zamboanga Del Norte; and fisherman Rolly Felix, 27, of Sta. Isabel, Bgy. Layac, Dinalupihan.
Seized from them were 10 plastic sachets of shabu worth at least P340,000, a .38 revolver with four live bullets and the marked money.
Felix and Encarnacion will face charges for violations of R.A 9165, RA 10591 and Comelec gun ban.
The Bataan police vowed to ensure the safety of the community by going after lawless elements and drug traffickers for a safe, peaceful and orderly May 9 elections.
