P 9.6-M marijuana seized in Bulacan

CAMP OLIVAS – Police on Thursday nabbed two big-time drug traffickers and confiscated at least P9.6 million worth of marijuana in Bulacan.

Bulacan police acting director Col. Rommel Ochave said members of the  Bulacan PIU, Bulacan PDE, San Miguel police and PDEA-Bulacan conducted a buy-bust in Bgy. Paliwasan, San Miguel, Bulacan which resulted to the arrest of  Dexter Asban alias Dex, 20, of Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan; and Jomerson Macusi , 26, of Barangay Tabang, Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Police confiscated from the two suspects 80 plastic-sealed bricks of dried marijuana weighing approximately 80kgs, with an estimated street value of P9,600,000.

They will be charged with violation of RA 9165.

PRO3 director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said all police units in Central Luzon are working together to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the region.
