CAMP OLIVAS – The PNP deputy chief for administration Lt. Gen. Rhodel Sermonia on Tuesday graced the launching of PRO3’s Barangay Empowerment on Child Abuse Resistance and Elimination-Flight Unwanted Lewd-Design (Be Careful) project in this camp.
He also personally attended the bloodletting program, inspection of facilities around the camp, turn-over of donations from SM, and meeting with the advocacy groups.
The “Be Careful” project aims to stop sexual violence from happening thru massive information campaign (Pangkat Ugnayan) to all residents at every age level to prevent sexual violence by addressing factors such as individual, relational, community, and societal causes.
While the PNP aims to strengthen its bond with the community through the campaign of eradicating sexual abuse and make them realize that they have vital roles in peace and order in their community, their cooperation is very essential in preventing sexual abuse.
“With our existing Community Mobilization Project wherein almost all barangays in the region are already mobilized, we are confident that ‘Be Careful’ project will help us reduce the alarming rape cases within the region,” said PRO3 director Brig. Gen, Matthew Baccay.
