CAMP OLIVAS – Seven individuals were arrested for violation of liquor ban which started on Saturday in Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac and Olongapo City.
Members of Bagac police arrested Cyril Gonzales, 31, of Bgy. Ibis, Bagac, Bataan, who was involved in a traffic accident when his vehicle accidentally collided with another vehicle. Gonzales was obviously intoxicated and when subjected for a liquor test confirmed positive.
Meanwhile, Reynaldo Adulyo, 32, a construction worker and resident of Sitio Camino, San Isidro, San Luis, Pampanga, was apprehended by San Luis police after being involved in a hacking incident while having a drinking spree. The victim was identified as Ederico Labao, 25, of San Juan, San Luis, Pampanga, and was rushed to the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center for medical treatment.
Three persons – Christian James Alba, 28, of New Asinan, Olongapo City; Renz Mariano, 29, of Sta. Rita, Olongapo City; and Jake Carl Bryan Nerza, 29, of New Banicain, Olongapo City – were arrested by personnel of Olongapo police who were crossing the street under the influence of liquor. When the three tested positive for the liquor test.
Members of the Gerona police apprehended Antolin Balagtas, 63, and Emmanuel Joquin, 39, both residents of Bgy. Carbonel Gerona, Tarlac, while having a drinking spree in the compound of Balagtas’ house.
All the suspects will be charged with violation of Comelec Omnibus Election Code Resolution No 10746.
PRO3 Director Brig. Gen. Matthew Baccay said the 48-hour liquor ban covers the prohibition against drinking, selling and buying of liquor.
