AC to provide free pap smear, breast cancer screening via bus clinics

ANGELES CITY — Health services for Angeleña women including pap smear and breast cancer screenings may now be availed for free via the city’s bus clinics.

Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has instructed the Gender and Development Office (GAD) and the City Health Office (CHO) to bring these services closer to each barangay using the bus clinics.

Lazatin said this during his inaugural speech on June 30, 2022 in Barangay Cutud where he shared that the GAD will be re-launching women’s health programs such as free pap smear and breast cancer screening.

Lazatin said that just like his father, Cong. Carmelo “Tarzan” Lazatin, grandfather Apung Feleng, and brother, First District Congressman Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II, health is the cornerstone of his administration.
