ANGELES CITY – Angeles City Tourism Officer Louie Lazatin highlighted that the “heart” of Angeleños is the one thing that makes the city stand out.
According to Lazatin, the city may not have mountains or beaches, but it does have its people and its culture, which no one else can replicate.
She briefed members of the Pampanga Press Club, during the club’s October edition of News@Hues at Park Inn by Radisson Clark, about Angeles City’s vision for its tourism industry, which is a community-driven approach that puts people as the center of attraction.
“Our people are our landmark. Our stories are our destination,” Lazatin said.
Angeles City’s tourism, she added, is not just about physical sites, but in its culture, heritage, arts, food, and hospitality.
The city is now focusing on building strong partnerships with local businesses, artists, students, and community groups to promote tourism and showcase the city’s unique identity and pride, under the theme “Experience. Live. Love Angeles City.”
Upcoming initiatives include Heritage Tours, where tourists can explore historic sites like Pamintuan Mansion, Museo ning Angeles, and Holy Rosary Parish Church, and a Palengke Tour, which will showcase Angeles City’s culinary scene and everyday life through a vibrant market experience.
These tours aim to highlight the city’s rich history, culture, and local flavors.
